Vaarthinkalee video song from Kali, hues of togetherness

Dulquer Salman and Sai Pallavi are out there in the social media platforms, creating a buzz with the video song from their upcoming Mollywood flick Kali. The song, Vaarthinkalee features hues of togetherness between husband and wife with some warm compositions. Dulquer has been seen as a young man, who is struggling with his anger and Sai appears as a loving and caring wife, who helps him to fight his outbursts. The couple radiates mutual passion and affection and the song escalates the already high expectations of the movie.

The melodious number is one of the tracks featured on the official jukebox, which was out earlier. The song is composed by Gopi Sunder and written by Harinarayanan. Divya S Menon lends a feather touch of romance to the song with her voice. The video has become an instant hit in the social media platforms. The recently released trailer has also broken records in views and Dulquer’s furious and hot tempered avatar was trending all over.

The trailer presents Dulquer as Sidharth, a young man on the verge of losing his temper. The character looks like the exact opposite of Dulquer’s character in Charlie. A seemingly fed up Sai Pallavi says “Mukkinte thumbathu aanu deshyam” about his outbursts in the trailer. There are some warm and intimate moments between the two lead actors in the trailer. Actor Soubin Shamir’s character also gets a short, but a proper introduction.

Kali, which features Dulquer and Sai Pallavi as a married couple, is written by Rajesh Gopinath and directed by Samir Thahir. Dulquer plays Sidharth, a customer relations officer in a new-generation bank and Sai Pallavi appears as his wife Anjali. According to a source close to the director, the movie revolves around the couple who is college buddies and later enters wedlock. “Dulquer and Sai’s characters are college buddies who later get married. Their friendship and love drive the movie,” revealed scribe Rajesh Gopinadhan in a previous conversation.

“Sidharth’s character is of a peculiar nature, and does not befriend people easily. His wife remains his only friend and that makes the relationship special,” he added. The movie, which is said to be a romantic action thriller, is produced by Aashiq Usman, Shyju Khalid, and Sameer Thahir under the banner Hand Made Films. Main locations of Kali were Kochi, Wagamon and Masinagudi.

Girish Gangadharan, who is known for the mind-blowing cinematography of Neelakasam Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, cranks the camera for Sameer Thahir. The movie also features Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan, VK Prakash, and Soubin Shahir in important roles. Kali will hit the screens on March 26.
